Ram introduced the Rebel trim level to inventory 2500 in 2023. The Rebel bridges the gap between the standard truck and the very rugged Power Wagon by offering a diesel powertrain with serious off-road hardware something the Power Wagon doesn’t offer.

The 2024 RAM 2500 is also a truck that offers more payload and towing capacity than most other trucks. the buyer will ever need and can be adapted to meet a variety of needs.

Security Measures

Modern driver-assist features are no longer exclusive to luxury vehicles, and this includes heavy-duty pickup trucks.

Ram’s optional Safety Group is available on all Ram 2500 models and includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and automatic high-beam control.

Cargo Room and Interior Space

Ram offers conventional cabs with two or three seats in addition to crew cabs and mega cabs with five or six seats. Front legroom measures 40.9 inches across the lineup, while rear legroom measures 40.2 inches in the crew cab and 43.1 inches in the colossal cab.

The 6-foot-four-inch bed has a capacity of 57.5 cubic feet, while the 8-foot bed has a capacity of 74.7 cubic feet.

Technology

Above the Big Horn specification level, a tablet-style, 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system is standard. Displays on entry-level Tradesman vehicles measure 5 inches. Six speakers are standard, but higher variants include a 10-speaker system and audiophiles can opt for a 17-speaker configuration.

Other available technologies include a 360-degree camera system, a digital instrument cluster with a 12.3-inch display that is new for 2023, and 360-degree towing cameras.

New Tow Functions

For 2023, Ram has added a few towing features. Next-generation transport mirrors feature telescoping functionality and are available on all models.

The infotainment system also features a new Trailer Tow pages app with numerous view modes, including behind-trailer and blind-spot trailer options. A Trailer Reverse Steering Control system permits the driver to input measurements in order to track the trailer’s position and steer it.

Verdict

The Ram 2500 has numerous high-tech features, a powerful towing capacity, and one of the finest heavy-duty truck interiors on the market. There are a few minor drawbacks, including a less-than-ideal driving position and a raucous diesel engine. The Ram 2500 is, however, one of our favorite pickups on the market, and we strongly recommend a test drive.
