New 2023 Ford Super Duty Pickup Truck

New 2023 Ford Super Duty Pickup Truck Each Super Duty is equipped with a 10-speed TorqShift ® automatic transmission designed and manufactured by Ford, and each chassis cab model is equipped with a standard power take off connection for running additional equipment, such as boom lifts and plows. Four-wheel drive is now standard on XLT models and above.

The new Ford Pro Upfit Integration System ** (UIS) is a game changer for customers who rely on body tools and equipment to get the job done, such as cranes or utility plows.

This digital solution gives aftermarket equipment makers better access to New 2023 Super Duty electrical and signaling systems to seamlessly integrate and operate their hardware into the truck's digital display**. Cloud-based software connects to the UIS so equipment makers can add digital buttons that allow drivers to control their equipment from inside the truck.

The system also allows high-level adjustments * and safety interlocks, ** such as preventing the transmission from shifting to drive with the boom lift raised.

Pro Power Onboard is now available for Super Duty, featuring more exportable power than a pickup or heavy-duty chassis cab. The 2.0 kilowatt output can power the jobsite or tailgate party. The outlet is accessible in the truck and cargo box, or it can be attached to the chassis cab with a special outlet mount kit.

Not only the best ability in its class, but also the best experience

About 96% of heavy-duty pickup owners use their trucks to tow, and with best-in-class payload and towing targets for every type of trailer, Super Duty ensures customers can haul with confidence.

New available driver assistance technologies*** designed to simplify the towing experience and build confidence include:

  • Onboard Scale with Smart Hitch ** that estimates cargo weight in real time and provides guidance on trailer tongue weight distribution directly on the center touchscreen, FordPass™ app, or in the taillights
  • 360 Degree Trailer Camera System** which provides an at-a-glance view of the trailer for easy maneuverability in tight spaces and virtually no blind spots
  • Blind Spot Information System for Fifth Wheel & Gooseneck ** which can be attached to the trailer to help identify when the vehicle is next to the trailer and indicate this in the side mirrors
  • Industry First Available Tailgate Down Camera and Tailgate Down Reverse Sensing System ** includes a new camera and reverse sensor at the top of the tailgate that provides visual and audible alerts when the tailgate descends to back up to the dock or attach a gooseneck or more five-wheel trailer easier than ever
  • Pro Trailer Hitch Assist ** automatically reverses the truck and aligns a conventional hitch ball to the trailer receiver
  • Trailer Navigation plots a route that can be safely navigated with given trailer dimensions and weight to avoid potential problems with low bridges and narrow bends

“Our goal is to leave drivers without blind spots, even when towing the longest trailers,” said Andrew Kernahan, chief engineer of Ford Super Duty.

“The camera view provides every angle, from simulating a drone to ensuring customers can see behind the truck even when the tailgate is down. Sticking and pulling has never been easier.”

There are also new safety and security technologies available that go beyond camera angles:

  • Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go and Lane Centering automatically brakes and accelerates to a predetermined speed and helps the truck stay on track
  • Trailer Theft Alert will send an alert via the FordPass app if anyone tries to release the trailer while the truck is locked
  • Vehicle Safety, available with a Ford Pro Telematics subscription, uses sensors to monitor collision and towing events and sends alerts even when the vehicle is turned off ***
  • Fleet Start Inhibit allows Ford Pro customers to schedule a timeframe for when the vehicle can be started to increase confidence around fleet operations
  • The Forward/Reverse Sensing System assists the driver by pointing out objects directly in front of the vehicle and alerting when objects are near the front or rear of the vehicle ***§§
  • Front* and Rear Brake Assist help prevent low-speed collisions to help automatically protect against collisions with objects that may be difficult to see ***
  • The colorful heads-up display helps keep an eye on the road by showing information right in the driver's line of sight that changes with driving mode
